- The Trade Information Center (TIC) www.ita.doc.gov/tic is an interagency organization
designed to assist the exporter in identifying programs to utilize. It also provides
sources of data on other countries, trade agreements, the World Trade Organization, the
Trade Compliance Center. A fax-on demand service (1-800-USA-TRADE) provides similar
information.
Stat-USA, another
service of Dept. of Commerce, is available on the Internet for a minimal fee (~ $50 for 3
months) per year or found in some researh libraries on CD-ROM.
Includes the Global Business Opportunities (GLOBUS) of
trade leads and the National Trade Databank (NTDB). THE NTDB offers trade information from
more than 20 federal sources. You do not need to know which specific Federal agency to
contact for the data you are seeing.
