Title	Director of Development (2 positions)
Reports to	V.P. R&D
Location	Midwest
Scope	Responsible for directing the activities of the R&D groups at each location for development of products, projects and programs. Conducts and collaborates with others on basic research and development relevant to long term objectives and concerns. Develops strategies to ensure effective achievement of scientific objectives. Monitors and evaluates completion of tasks and projects. Will develop budgets for capital expenditures and labor. Will work with executive management to establish company policies.
Special Requirements
Minimal Experience/ Education
Preferred Experience/ Education	Requires Ph.D. in scientific discipline and a minimum of 10 years of industrial research and development experience, with at least five in a management capacity. Must have proven track record of profitable product development experience as well as proven managerial skills such as team building, project and performance management.
