At Perlegen Sciences, we conduct genetics research and develop products that impact and
improve people's lives. Established in March 2001, we are a well-funded, pre-IPO company
aggressively developing our core competencies in pharmacogenomics, genotyping, SNP
discovery, genomic re-sequencing, and other key areas of our business. We invite you to
consider joining our team as we apply our breakthrough technologies to clinical
development and the discovery of drugs and diagnostics. MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT In this newly created position, you will be
involved in a full range of business development activities. Specifically, you will help
build the company's clinical development pipeline, identifying potential drug candidates
for pharmacogenetic studies and developing the business case for in-licensing of specific
drug candidates. Other responsibilities will include the expansion of the company's
business development reach and corporate partnerships and management of the commercial
aspects of the company's clinical sample acquisition activities, including prioritizing
phenotypes, identifying and following-up with prospective sources of clinical samples,
managing the scientific evaluation process and legal/financial due diligence, determining
appropriate valuation metrics, and negotiating deal terms. The ideal candidate will have
an MD and/or PhD (or other advanced degree) and experience in clinical trials research. A
background in drug development is desired. |
